It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.
HYMN OF THE DAY
With harps and with vials there stand a great throng
In the presence of Jesus and sings this new song
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin
To Him be the glory forever, Amen!
All these once were sinners, defiled in His sight
Now arrayed in pure garments, their voices unite
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin
To Him be the glory forever, Amen!
He maketh the rebel a priest and a king
He hath bought us and taught us this new song to sing
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin
To Him be the glory forever, Amen!
Aloud in His praises our voices shall ring
So that others, believing, this new song shall sing
To Him who hath loved us and washed us from sin
To Him be the glory forever, Amen!

“He who waters will also be watered himself” -Proverbs 111:25
This text teaches a great lesson – to receive, we must give; to accumulate,
we must scatter; to be happy, we must make others happy; to have friends,
we must be friendly; in teaching others, we gain instruction. It is like the
man in the storm who rubbed the limbs of his friend to keep him from freezing,
and in doing kept his own blood circulating and thus saved his own life! “He
who waters is watered.” “Give and it shall be given you”
(Luke 6:38). – Pastor Henry Mahan
FULFILLING YOUR MINISTRY
Paul said to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received
in the Lord, that thou fulfill it.” (Col. 4:17)
Evidently, Archippus was becoming lax or remiss in the ministry, or area of
service that the Lord had entrusted him with. We do not know what that ministry
was, but Archippus was in danger of not fulfilling it. So Paul warns him about
it. We have all been given some aspect of ministry for the body of Christ.
This is spoken of at great length in Romans 12. What a shame it is when somebody
does not fulfill their ministry! They hurt themselves and they miss out on
being a blessing to others. I do not want this to happen to me or you. “Take
heed to the ministry which thou has received in the Lord, that thou fulfill
it.” Does someone say, “I do not know what my ministry is?”
Read Romans 12 and you will find something that you are gifted to do. “Take
heed that you fulfill it.”

A WARNING TO ALL MEN
“I warn all men,” says J.C. Ryle, “that knowledge NOT ACTED
UPON, in God’s sight, is no knowledge at all! A faith which does not
influence a man’s walk and talk is not worthy of the name faith.”
There are only two classes of people in this world – those who believe
God and those who do not believe God! Those who believe God do mind (are concerned
with, interested in, and identified with) the things of God, and those who
do not believe God do mind (pursue, love, and run after) the things of the
flesh and the world. The difference lies in one word – I BELIEVE God.

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth
good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that
publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, THY GOD REIGNETH!” (Isaiah
52:7) Any ministry which does not have for its foundation the absolute and
sovereign rule and reign of God in Christ Jesus, is a false ministry! The
foundation of all true spiritual knowledge is the knowledge of the sovereign,
eternal God of the Bible! (John 17:2-3; I John 5:20)

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom,
and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” - I Corinthians
1:30
Christ is my wisdom, therefore, I seek no knowledge of God or salvation
apart from Him, nor do I try to form some clever argument of my own by which
to persuade God to bless me.
Christ is my righteousness therefore, even as I try to do what is right, I
make no claim to God’s goodness by any other merit than the merit of
Jesus’ goodness and righteousness.
Christ is my holiness, so I present to God nothing by which to set myself
apart from others besides the Lord Jesus, by whose death I have been set apart
from the world and to God.
Christ is my redemption, so I bring no payment in my hand, nor any promise
of future payment as I boldly approach God’s everlasting throne of grace.
I rest assured that, as Jesus is my redemption, I owe nothing, therefore,
need bring nothing, even as I ask for the choicest blessings of this life
and the next. – Pastor Joe Terrell

A WORD TO THE WEAK
Know for your comfort that the weakest believer is as nearly related to God,
as a Father, as the strongest believer is. Every branch of a tree is not alike
strong nor big, and yet the tenderest twig is united to the root. The weakest
believer is clothed with the white raiment of Christ’s righteousness
and is as much sanctified and justified thereby as the strongest. There is
no condemnation to all who are in Christ. The weakest believer shall endure
to the end. They are all kept by the power of God through faith to salvation.
It is not he that believes strongly who shall be saved, but he that believes!
“Lord, I believe; help Thou mine unbelief.” - E. Erskine
