Sundays 7:00 am Channel 27 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Thou, Christ, the great Jehovah art
The Fount of holiness
And, God with us, Thou art become
The Lord our Righteousness.

Oh, wash us with thy blood and clothe
With Thy pure spotless dress
Oh, hide us in Thyself, and be
The Lord our Righteousness.

Make us by grace to be indeed
What we in word profess
Oh, make us like unto Thyself
The Lord our Righteousness.

Pour on us showers of Thy grace
Increase our fruitfulness
That we may yield Thine own to Thee
The Lord our Righteousness.

So, in Thy glorious image rais’d
May we Thy mercy bless
And sing forever praise to Thee
The Lord our Righteousness.

(Tune: “Come Holy Spirit, Heavenly Dove” p. 58)

“Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.” - Proverbs 25:14
THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS
During the days of John the Baptist, if you wanted to hear from God you would not hear from Him in the synagogues or temple. Even though the Scriptures were read in those places, He was not speaking. To hear form God you had to go to the wilderness and hear a man outside of organized religion. He was not seminary trained, nor did he have organized religion backing him. He was not identified with any religious denominations. He was a voice crying in the wilderness. If you were to hear from God, you would hear through him.
Is it any different today? No. God does not use man-made, human institutions and organizations that masquerade under the name of churches. But, thank His Name, He does still speak through the true church which is the pillar and ground of the Truth. That church does not identify with the false church of man made religion. The true church is the voice crying in the wilderness. Oh, that we might hear “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.” (Matthew 3:3)

ORIGINAL SIN
If you have never felt the weight of original sin, do not call yourselves Christians. I am verily persuaded that original sin is the greatest burden of a true convert; this ever grieves the regenerate soul, the sanctified soul. The indwelling sin in the heart is the burden of a converted person; it is the burden of the true Christian. He continually cries out, “Oh, who will deliver me from this body of death,” this indwelling corruption of my heart? This is that which disturbs a poor soul most. And therefore, if you never felt this inward corruption, if you never saw that God might justly curse you for it, indeed, my dear friends, you may speak peace to your hearts, but I fear, nay, I know, there is no peace. – George Whitfield

We are not desirous of honor, esteem and applause from men, for “we are what we are by the grace of God”. God can take away what we have as easily as He gave it. We do not despise and provoke one another with our piety; nor do we want to appear to be wiser, richer in grace, nor more gifted than others; for we are less than the least of the saints. Nor do we envy the gifts, abilities, or grace of another. God will enlighten us, equip us, and bless us as He sees fit to use us. – Pastor Henry Mahan
RECOVERING THE GOSPEL
“A half-truth masquerading as the whole truth becomes a complete untruth.” - J. I. Packer
There is a desperate need to recover the Gospel! The Gospel of man’s natural inability to believe, God’s electing grace in Christ being the cause of salvation and, of Christ dying only for the elect, those whom He calls His sheep. The Gospel of the Holy Spirit calling and regenerating those for whom Christ died and, those called will persevere until Christ calls them home to Himself. The reason we need a recovering of the Gospel is because of the absolute falseness of “today’s gospel” that is being propagated by the majority of so-called preachers. They constantly appeal to men as if they had the ability to receive Christ at any time. They speak of His redeeming work as if He had done no more by dying then to make salvation possible for us to save ourselves by believing. God’s love is presented as no more then a general willingness to receive any that will turn and trust. The Father and the Son are preached, not as sovereignly active in bringing sinners to themselves, but waiting “impotently at the door of man’s hearts” for someone to let them in.
Why would someone preach such an impotent gospel and impotent god who cannot save without our willingness and cooperation? I know why! It is all they know. Oh God, give us a recovery of the Gospel of the glory of God in the person of Jesus Christ - the Gospel that gives all the glory of the Godhead in the salvation of elect sinners.

When quoting Romans 8:28, we often begin with the words, “All things work together for good.” But the verse really begins like this: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.” Our knowing comes by faith. By faith we are confident that God will never disappoint us.
I read a story about a shipwreck. When the sole survivor reached a small, uninhabited island, he prayed for God to rescue him, but help didn’t come. Eventually he built a hut out of driftwood for protection from the elements. One day he returned from scavenging for food and found his hut in flames, the smoke rising into the sky. Angrily he cried, “God, how could You do this to me?”
The next morning he was awakened by rescuers. “How did you know I was here?” he asked. “We saw your smoke signal,” they replied. The next time it seems as if your last hope has gone up in smoke, remember what “we know” to be true (Romans 8:28). When God says that all things work together for good to those who love Him, He means all. - Copied
